No, Jubilee is formulated with a built in sealer so it is not necessary to wax or seal the paint after drying.
Jubilee does not require a primer on most surfaces. However, if applying Jubilee directly to very glossy substrates such as glazed tiles or ceramics or on top of an oil based product such as a solvent-based paints or varnishes, a primer may be necessary for better adherence and longevity. Jubilee is ladened with high quality pigments for excellent coverage and smooth finish. When applied evenly and depending on the colour used and the surface being painted, a 60ml jar will cover 1-1.5 square metres; a 250ml tin will cover 4-6 square metres; and a 500ml tin will cover 8-10 square metres. The GILD acrylic range is a decorative paint formula that works exceptionally well on non-porous surfaces such as hard wood, plastic, metal, glass, stone, ceramics and leather. They are also suitable on many porous surfaces such as soft wood, paper, textiles, dried flowers, and card.
Once dry a wax is not necessary to seal the GILD paint; however some users have used water-based varnishes, natural waxes or clear epoxy resin over GILD for aesthetic reasons or added durability.

The GILD Gold works extremely well on fabrics and can be machine washed in a cold, delicate setting. The GILD Silver, Champagne, Bronze, Copper, and Rose-Gold paint can be applied to some fabrics but with these colours we recommend using a fabric painting medium, a fabric primer, or a thin layer of PVC glue as a base coat first for best results.
GILD Chrome is a remarkable oil-based formula (while GILD Acrylics are water-based) that achieves a mirrored finish on non-porous surfaces. This innovative formula was created to achieve a chrome finish with an easy brushable application. It is perfect for detailing objects made from glass, metal, ceramics, plastics, sealed wood and other hard surfaces.
GILD Chrome is a wonderful alternative to achieving a chrome finish without the need of an airbrush. It is a very fluid formula that should be mixed well and painted directly onto a non-porous surface with a brush. A small amount of paint goes a long way so it is best to not overload the paintbrush when painting. Instead it is best to do several thin layers, allowing coats to dry, and layering accordingly to get the desired results.
A sealant over the GILD chrome paint is not recommended as most sealants can disrupt the mirror quality of the finish and dull the shine.
A primer is not necessary for covering non-porous surfaces; however if wanting to paint a porous surface such as soft wood, card, or foam, a primer to make the surface non-porous is necessary to achieve the mirrored- chrome finish.
GILD Chrome is touch dry in less than 4 hours, ready to re-coat in 12 hours, and usually cured in 24 hours, depending on the thickness of the layers and the total area covered.
